Jill Nicolini was born in Farmingville, New York, and completed her high school education at Sachem North High School in 1996. She briefly attended Stony Brook University for one year. Her journey into the media industry began in 1997 when she joined WBLI Radio on Long Island.

In 2000, while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts at the New York Institute of Technology, Nicolini started reporting for LI News Tonight. Her multifaceted career soon took her to the New York Islanders, where she became the arena announcer, and to the New York Dragons Arena Football team as a dancer.
