Chandana was born in Warangal and brought up in Hyderabad. She has always been in a brilliant student. She cracked IIT JEE Entrance examination and took admission in IIT Delhi from where she has done B. Tech. in Computer Science Engineering. During her B. Tech. she decided to appear in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Her first aim was to join Indian Foreign Service, but later changed to IPS. Interestingly, IAS has never been her first choice of services. She has worked stupendously as the SP of Medak district.

Chandana Deepthi married Hyderabad Businessman Balaram Reddy on 18th October 2019. The two tied the knot in front of close relatives and few top profile guests at Taj Krishna in Hyderabad. The bold and beautiful IPS officer who turned heads with her bold comments that she would only marry someone she loves at last made it to marriage with Balaram.
