- Sagarika was born in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, where she stayed until the age of 8. She then shifted to Ajmer, Rajasthan to attend a boarding school.
- Sagarika Ghatge is the daughter of Vijayendra Ghatge, an actor who has appeared in several Hindi films and television. The actress’ dad is a member of the royal family of Kagal. Interestingly, Sita Raje Ghatge is Sagarika’s grandmother, who is the daughter of Maharaja Tukojirao Holkar III of Indore.
- Her uncle, Vijayendra Ghatge, is also an actor. He has played integral roles in movies such as Chitchor (1976) and Devdas (2002).
