There are rumors that Taylor Swift might have a role in ‘Deadpool 3,’ a movie in the Marvel universe. The report suggests that Swift could make her Marvel debut by playing the character Dazzler.
This upcoming film is also expected to feature other X-Men characters, including Wolverine, Jean Grey, and Storm, although these roles haven’t been officially confirmed yet. Kevin Feige, who heads Marvel Studios, has previously expressed his interest in Dazzler.
Currently, Taylor Swift is on her “The Eras Tour,” performing her music. She has also acted in movies like ‘Valentine’s Day,’ ‘Cats,’ and ‘Amsterdam.’
Meanwhile, the filming of ‘Deadpool 3’ had started in England but was affected by a strike, causing a delay in production. None of these casting rumors have been confirmed so far.
Taylor Swift concluded her two-year “Eras Tour” in Los Angeles with a surprise announcement. She revealed that her next re-recorded album, ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version),’ will be released on October 27.
The pop icon’s acting experience includes roles in films like ‘Valentine’s Day’ (2010), ‘Cats’ (2019), and ‘Amsterdam’ (2022), directed by David O. Russell.
While it’s still uncertain who will appear in ‘Deadpool 3,’ Kevin Feige has previously shown enthusiasm for the character Dazzler.
The movie had begun filming before the SAG-AFTRA strike started. Alongside stars like Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Shioli Kutsuna, and Stefan Kapicic, the film might also bring back Jennifer Garner as Elektra.
Disney has not yet addressed whether the filming delay caused by the ongoing strike will affect the planned release date of May 3, 2024, for the movie.
