Girija Oak is a film actor from India. She was born in Nagpur on 27th December 1987. She did her schooling from Adarsh Vidya Mandir and later shifted to Mumbai to pursue her college. She did her graduation in Biotechnology from Mumbai University. While she was a student, she joined a theatre workshop and later acted in different plays and appeared in commercial ads.
Since she happens to be the daughter of M Town actor Girish Oak, she always had in her mind to join the world of acting. She got her first break in acting with the Aamir Khan directed and acted film Taare Zameen Par released in the year 2007. She played the role of Jabeen the school teacher in a special school called Tulips along with Aamir Khan.
In 2009, she got her next film in the form of an M Town movie called Goshta Choti Dongraevadhi playing the role of Vaidehi and the other movie called Gulmohar. The same year she got her first Kannada movie House Full. Her other M Town movies include Manini, Huppa Huiyya, Adgula Madgula, and Navra Maza Bhavra. Her Bollywood movies include Shor in the City, and Cycle Kick. She also acted in Marathi TV show called Lajja where she played the role of Manaswini Desai (Manu). Currently, she is doing the Hindi TV show called Ladies Special playing Meghna Nikade.
Her first TV show aired at Zee Marathi was a big hit where she played the character of Manu who is a victim of a scam. Her performance was applauded by the critics and audience. Talking about her personal life, she is married to Suhrud Godbole and happen to be the daughter in law of Marathi film actor, dialogue writer and film producer Shrirang Godbole.
