Piyali Munsi is an Indian film and television actress. She mainly works in Hindi TV serials and also Bengali films. She was born on 30 August in Santoshpur, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Piyali made her acting debut in 2008 with Bengali film Rangeen Gudhooli.
Piyali Munsi made her television debut in 2012 with Bengali television serial Checkmate. Later she appeared two more TV shows namely Jai Jag Janani Maa Durga (2012) as Maa Durga and in Siya Ke Ram as Mandodari. In 2014, she appeared in movie Nayan Tara. Piyali also acted in a short film ‘Arasuri Maa Ambe’ (2014) as Sati, which was narrated by the Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. Her upcoming movies includes Khamiyaza.
Piyali Munsi was born and raised in Kolkata, West Bengal by her father and mother. She has a sister named Paramita Munsi who is a Bengali Film Director. She completed her schooling from Bhudeb Smriti Vidyapith, West Bengal and later joined Hazra Law College, Kolkata, West Bengal to finish her Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
